Thirteen people were injured after an employee shuttle bus crashed into a concrete barrier at Newark Liberty International Airport early Monday morning.

The crash happened around 3 a.m. on the Terminal B Departures Level 3 roadway, according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.

Three people suffered serious injuries while 10 others sustained minor injuries. None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.

Video from the scene showed the front of the shuttle bus heavily damaged and pressed against a concrete barrier, with shattered glass and debris surrounding the vehicle.

The injured were taken to area hospitals for evaluation and treatment.

The crash forced authorities to close the Terminal B Level 3 departures roadway while crews cleared debris from the scene. Passengers departing from Terminal B were advised to use Level 2 for drop-offs during the closure.

Authorities have not said what caused the shuttle bus to crash.

The investigation remains ongoing.
