A 3-alarm fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. on the 300 block of Hudson Street in Hoboken, forcing residents to evacuate in freezing conditions.

The Hoboken Fire Department brought the fire under control by 4:45 a.m. No injuries have been reported.

Displaced residents were quickly sheltered nearby with assistance from @hobokennj OEM.

🚧 Hudson Street remains closed between Third and Fifth Streets as crews continue cleanup and investigate the cause.

Please avoid the area and allow firefighters to work safely.
