The Attorney General’s Office has released footage and communications related to the death of Kevin Harlfinger, a 40-year-old man from Middlesex County, during a police encounter on the Garden State Parkway in Woodbridge. The incident, involving a stolen vehicle pursued by Cranford Police, resulted in a fatal shooting where Harlfinger exchanged gunfire with officers.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and a firearm was recovered nearby. Officer Christopher Folinusz sustained a non-fatal gunshot wound.
