BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Hackensack man arrested in child exploitation case

Authorities in Bergen County announced the arrest of 23-year-old Jonathan F. Ganan Taza of Hackensack on charges tied to explicit images involving minors.

According to Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella, the arrest followed an investigation by the Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit, led by Chief Jeff Angermeyer.

Officials say that on April 10, investigators executed a search warrant at the suspect’s residence as part of an ongoing probe into online activity involving minors.

The investigation determined that Ganan Taza allegedly used the internet to view, download, possess, and distribute explicit material involving both pubescent and prepubescent minors.

He was arrested the same day in Paramus and charged with first-degree distribution and second-degree possession of explicit material involving minors.

Ganan Taza was taken to the Bergen County Jail, where he is being held pending his first court appearance in Bergen County Superior Court in Hackensack.
