BODY DISCOVERED INSIDE FORMER BED AND BREAKFAST DURING BERGEN COUNTY FIRE
3 alarms fire took place Wednesday March 6. The Fire investigators discovered a body in the remains of a three-alarm overnight blaze that destroyed a former bed-and-breakfast that was in town for decades.
The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office did not identify the victim of the fire, which started at 2:21 a.m. at the former site of the Toddle Inn on Broad Avenue in Ridgefield.
The body was found on the main floor of the building after fire suppression efforts from area police and fire departments, according to a press release from the agency.
The arson task force continued to search the scene Wednesday, while an investigation from the prosecutor and the Ridgefield Police Department is ongoing.
