UNION TWP (Union County) — A night out turned into chaos in Union Township when gunfire exploded inside a packed Chick-fil-A on Route 22 Saturday night — leaving one person dead and multiple others shot.
The shooting happened around 8:40 p.m. during peak hours, sending customers scrambling for cover as shots rang out in or near the busy restaurant.
Responding officers rushed in and found multiple victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
At least six people were hit. One victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while others were transported to nearby hospitals. Their conditions have not been released.
The Union County Prosecutor’s Office is leading the investigation, which remains active.
No suspect information, motive, or arrests have been announced.
