A large law enforcement response converged on North Arlington Sunday night after two people were shot outside a bar and lounge on Ridge Road, as thousands of officers were already deployed across North Jersey for the FIFA World Cup Final.

According to preliminary emergency dispatch information, the shooting was reported outside 14 Ridge Road, where first responders located two victims with gunshot wounds.

One victim was reportedly transported as a trauma alert. Emergency crews were working to arrange transportation for the second victim.

Police requested mutual aid from multiple agencies across Bergen County, with the New Jersey State Police also responding. Initial dispatch traffic indicated that more than a dozen officers from neighboring jurisdictions were assigned to the incident, including units redirected from World Cup security operations at the Meadowlands.

Authorities also broadcast descriptions of two vehicles of interest: a brown BMW reportedly seen fleeing north on Ridge Road and a white van, possibly a U-Haul, that was last reported heading toward Belleville.

Officials have not released the victims’ conditions or identified any suspects, and no arrests had been announced as of Sunday night.

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional information is expected to be released by authorities.
