A deadly shooting erupted on a city street Saturday evening, claiming the life of a 28-year-old man after a gunman unleashed a hail of bullets, striking him multiple times.
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray, the shooting occurred on March 15 around 5:20 p.m. Officers responded to reports of gunfire near Market Street and Pennington Street.
Upon arrival, authorities found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
Investigators have not yet identified a suspect or determined a motive for the attack. The case remains under active investigation as law enforcement works to uncover what led to the fatal shooting.
