A deadly shooting erupted on a city street Saturday evening, claiming the life of a 28-year-old man after a gunman unleashed a hail of bullets, striking him multiple times. Â
According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Department Officer-In-Charge Patrick Murray, the shooting occurred on March 15 around 5:20 p.m. Officers responded to reports of gunfire near Market Street and Pennington Street. Â
Upon arrival, authorities found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Saint Joseph’s University Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead. Â
Investigators have not yet identified a suspect or determined a motive for the attack. The case remains under active investigation as law enforcement works to uncover what led to the fatal shooting. Â
