FREEHOLD, NJ — A 19-year-old Keansburg man has been charged in connection with a shooting outside the Freehold Borough Public Library last week that left one man wounded, authorities said.
According to investigators, Kanye P. Faucette is facing charges including first-degree attempted murder and two weapons offenses related to illegal gun possession. Authorities also charged Heaven D. Holmes, 20, of Keyport, with two counts of illegal gun possession as the investigation unfolded.
Police responded to the Freehold Borough Public Library on East Main Street around 4:21 p.m. on April 30 after receiving reports of gunfire. When officers arrived, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim’s condition has not been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
