JERSEY CITY MAN SENTENCED TO 15 YEARS IN PRISON FOR ROLE IN NARCOTICS OPERATION

A 35-year-old Jersey City man, Dwight Drew, was sentenced to 15 years in New Jersey State Prison for his involvement in a narcotics operation in Jersey City. Drew pleaded guilty to charges including Possession with Intent to Distribute a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Certain Persons Not to Possess a Firearm, and Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Assault. The 15-year sentence will run concurrently with an eight-year sentence for the firearm offense and a seven-year sentence for the conspiracy offense. The charges originated from a 2020 investigation by multiple law enforcement agencies.
