Authorities in Jersey City are investigating a late-night shooting that left two people hurt Sunday night.

Police were flagged down around 10:40 p.m. near JFK Boulevard and Cottage Street after reports of a gunshot victim in the area.

Officers quickly determined the shooting actually happened on the 90s block of Duffle Street, where two victims were found with gunshot wounds.

One victim is in critical condition. The second is expected to survive.

At the scene, police recovered around half a dozen shell casings. No other victims were found nearby.

So far, no motive has been confirmed and no additional details have been released as the investigation continues.
