🔥 KENNEDY BLVD ROBBERY ATTEMPT GOES SIDEWAYS — SUSPECTS CAUGHT WITHIN MINUTES

Update: The caption has been corrected to reflect that the arrest occurred in Guttenberg, not North Bergen as initially reported.

Two men are facing multiple charges after an armed robbery attempt was quickly shut down along the block of 6900 Kennedy Boulevard in Guttenberg on December 23, police say.

Authorities say a business owner flagged down an officer and reported that two men entered his store armed with a knife and a handgun. Officers located one suspect at a nearby gas station and took him into custody without incident. The second suspect was detained shortly after.

Following a search of the vehicle, police recovered a handgun with a high-capacity magazine, ammunition, and a pepper gun. Both suspects were charged and lodged at the Hudson County Correctional Center, with additional weapons charges filed after further investigation.

Police credited the swift response of patrol officers and detectives for the arrests and recovery of weapons.
