Naomi Elkins, 27, was ruled not guilty by reason of insanity after drowning her 3-year-old and 22-month-old daughters in separate bathtubs last year in Lakewood, NJ.
She told police she believed killing them would “eliminate all evil in the world.” A judge committed her to a psychiatric hospital for 150 years — two life terms.
The case was called a “tragedy of epic proportions” by the Ocean County Prosecutor.
