LODI, NJ — A 55-year-old Lodi man has been arrested following a child exploitation investigation in Bergen County, authorities announced.
Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said Paul D. McErlean was taken into custody on Friday, March 27, after the Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at his home.
According to officials, the investigation revealed McErlean allegedly used the internet to view, download, possess, and distribute files involving explicit images of minors.
He has been charged with second-degree distribution of explicit images of minors.
The investigation was led by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit under Chief Jeff Angermeyer.
