Man Charged In Fatal Warinanco Park Shooting
Gerald O. Walker, 47, of Linden, has been arrested and charged in connection with the fatal shooting of Shakiir Manns, 29, in Warinanco Park, Union County, according to the Union County Prosecutor's Office.
Walker faces charges of first-degree murder, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon. The incident occurred on May 19th, and Walker turned himself in on May 24th. He is held in Union County Jail, with his first court appearance scheduled for May 26th.
The investigation continues, and authorities urge anyone with information to contact the Prosecutor’s Office. All charges are accusations, and Walker is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
