A man was fatally stabbed outside Paterson’s City Hall on Tuesday afternoon, authorities confirmed.
Around 2:30 p.m., police responded to reports of a stabbing near Market and Washington streets, directly outside the municipal building. Officers arrived to find a man suffering from multiple stab wounds. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Paterson police have notified the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, which is now leading the investigation. No arrests have been announced, and officials say the probe remains active.
