PALISADES PARK, NJ — A Bergen County daycare teacher is facing serious charges after prosecutors say a young child was assaulted inside a local daycare facility.
Authorities identified the suspect as Seunghee Nam, 44, of Englewood.
According to the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, the case began after the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency reported a concerning incident involving a juvenile at a Palisades Park daycare.
Investigators say the alleged assault happened on March 12, 2026, and resulted in significant injuries to the child.
Nam was arrested on March 23 in Englewood and charged with:
• Second-degree endangering the welfare of a child
• Third-degree aggravated assault
She was processed at the Bergen County Jail and has since been released pending further court proceedings.
