NJ Transit Crews Find Bride's Forgotten Wedding Dress on a Train and Get It to the Airport Before Her Flight

A bride-to-be racing to catch a flight left her wedding dress behind on an NJ Transit train, with her ceremony only hours away. NJ Transit says its crews tracked the dress down and got it back to her in about 20 minutes.
The agency shared the story in a Facebook post, calling it a "20-minute miracle." As Patch first reported, the bride was heading to Newark Airport when she realized the gown was still on the train. NJ Transit did not name her, the rail line or the stations involved.
The clock was the problem. The dress was on a moving train, the wedding was hours away, and, according to the agency, it had to reach the airport before her flight left.
NJ Transit says crews across its system tracked the train, coordinated in real time and searched the cars before the train reached its next stop. The dress was found and brought to the airport ahead of her flight, the agency said, and it thanked everyone involved for what it called exceptional customer service.
NJ Transit has not said where the wedding took place or which employees helped. Riders who leave something behind on a train, bus or light rail car can file a claim through the agency's online Lost & Found application, and NJ Transit says the more detail riders give about the item and their trip, the better the odds of getting it back.
