A nurse practitioner in Middlesex County is facing serious charges after a disturbing incident involving a 16-year-old inside a youth facility.
Authorities say the investigation began on March 6, after the New Jersey Division of Child Protection and Permanency reported an alleged assault inside the Middlesex County Youth Shelter in North Brunswick.
According to officials, the teen reported being assaulted while inside the facility’s medical unit.
A joint investigation by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit and North Brunswick Police identified the suspect as Izee Dizon, 34, of Bridgewater.
Prosecutors say Dizon engaged in inappropriate physical and verbal contact with the juvenile.
She was arrested on March 8 without incident and is now charged with:
