A Monmouth County grand jury has returned a seven-count indictment against three teens in connection with the fatal 2025 shooting at Pier Village.
Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago said Dwayne Exilus (19), Isaiah Z. Walker (19), and Jahbron J. Goff (18) are charged with conspiracy and unlawful possession of weapons, along with hindering and possession of a prohibited weapon.
Goff also faces first-degree murder and weapons possession for an unlawful purpose, while Exilus and Walker each face additional hindering apprehension charges.
Authorities say the shooting happened around 8:58 p.m. on June 12, 2025, near the beach and boardwalk. Chrystofer A. Whyte, 18, was found with a single gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators allege Goff was the shooter, and that Exilus and Walker helped conceal his involvement. The case was investigated by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Bureau and the Long Branch Police Department.
