
QUICK-THINKING OFFICER IN SECAUCUS NABS ONE OF TEXAS' MOST WANTED
On the morning of October 30, 2024, Secaucus Police Officer Robert Schaffer arrested Tito Correa, a 50-year-old man from Fort Worth, Texas, who was among Tarrant County's Most Wanted. Correa, sought on charges of arson by the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office, was identified during a routine patrol after Officer Schaffer observed him dangerously jaywalking near Meadowlands Parkway. When Officer Schaffer conducted a warrant check, he discovered Correa's criminal history and active wanted status.
Correa was subsequently charged with being a Fugitive from Justice and issued a summons for improper use of a crosswalk. Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller praised Officer Schaffer’s vigilance, emphasizing the importance of proactive policing in maintaining community safety. Correa is being held at Hudson County Jail and awaits further proceedings, while still presumed innocent until proven guilty.
