
SHERIFF’S OFFICER DIES AFTER FALL FROM HUDSON COUNTY BUILDING IN JERSEY CITY
Hudson County officials are investigating a tragic incident in which a sheriff’s officer died after falling from the county administration building in Jersey City on Friday morning.
Emergency crews responded to 595 Newark Avenue just before 11 a.m. following reports of an injured person outside the building. The officer was found unresponsive on the ground near shattered glass from an eighth-floor window and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The officer’s identity has not yet been released. No other injuries were reported.
Authorities have not confirmed the circumstances surrounding the fall, and the investigation remains ongoing. Officials remained at the scene into the afternoon.
