TOMS RIVER MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO HEROIN DISTRIBUTION
Zachary Lockwood, a 25-year-old from Toms River, pleaded guilty to charges including heroin possession with intent to distribute, weapon possession, and resisting arrest.
The charges stem from a 2023 investigation by the Toms River police, which revealed Lockwood's involvement in a heroin distribution network. He was caught with 215 wax folds of heroin during a search of his vehicle and an additional 2,000 wax folds and a handgun at his residence. Lockwood resisted arrest during his apprehension.
He also admitted guilt to eluding police in a separate incident. Lockwood faces a recommended 10-year sentence, with concurrent terms for multiple charges.
