TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO ARREST OF WANTED MAN FROM NEWARK

In Maplewood, a routine motor vehicle stop for a minor traffic offense on January 3 lead to the arrest of Macho Robinson, 33, from Newark.

Robison was the passenger of the vehicle involved in the traffic stop. Officers identified the individual who was wanted with outstanding warrants.

According to Maplewood Police, Robinson was wanted in Essex County for weapons-related charges and also had a traffic warrant from South Orange.

As a result of the stop, Maplewood Police Officers charged Robinson with Obstruction, Resisting Arrest, and Hindering Apprehension.

These charges were added to his existing warrants, intensifying the legal consequences he faces. Following the arrest, Robinson was transported to County Jail.

The Maplewood Police Department's diligence in this matter has led to the arrest of an individual wanted on serious charges.
