New footage from a sept. 5, 2025 shooting just dropped. 26 year old steven b. Sanchez was killed. Police say it started around 1:22 pm on jfk blvd after an officer believed his vehicle was shot at. A civilian pointed out sanchez as the suspect. By 1:23 pm, officers confronted him near jfk and clinton. They say he had what looked like a gun, refused commands, and pointed it at officers. Shots fired. Investigators say sanchez was hit, kept firing, and ran toward officers before being taken into custody. He later died at 8:45 pm. One officer injured. No other injuries. Weapon recovered was a compressed air pistol. Case now headed to a grand jury.
