WEST SIDE HIGH SCHOOL SHOOTING LEAVES TWO INJURED

In Newark's West Ward, a disturbing incident occurred outside West Side High School, where an armed gunman fired nearly a dozen shots, In the chaos, a 17-year-old male student and a 15-year-old both were seriously injured by the gunfire. Both victims were rushed to University Hospital for treatment. The 17-Year-Old is in critical condition. 

Police responded swiftly, engaging in a pursuit with suspects and cordoning off several blocks for investigation. The community is shaken, calling for heightened security measures and reassessment of safety protocols in schools. 

The search for suspects continues as the community seeks a resolution to restore safety in educational environments.
