AMAZON ACCOUNTS HACKED??! HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW!

According to Snopes, claims of Amazon being hacked have gone viral on Facebook. The posts suggest that criminals have been adding new mailing addresses to Amazon accounts and then fraudulently labeling them as legitimate alternative pickup locations such as Amazon Locker+, Amazon Hub Locker, Amazon Fresh, and Amazon Counter.

did criminals gain access to the accounts and add these fake addresses to ship themselves the items? Well, not so sure yet.

According to Dataconomy, an Amazon person named Montana MacLachlan issued a statement that said “there was no evidence that their systems were hacked”. But why certain users were able to see locker addresses added to their accounts?

At this point, there are two potential explanations:

Whatever it is, please ensure to check your Amazon accounts and verify that no items were purchased or if you have a random address in your account, to remove it.
