An Atlantic County man has been charged months after his three-month-old daughter was found unresponsive inside an Atlantic City residence, with investigators later determining the child suffered severe injuries.

Authorities announced the arrest of 27-year-old Antonio Reyes on Thursday, March 26, 2026. He is facing a charge of first-degree aggravated manslaughter in connection with the infant’s death.

According to officials, the case began on November 12, 2025, when Atlantic City police responded to a 911 call reporting an unresponsive infant at a residence.

Emergency responders transported the child to a nearby hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Investigators determined the infant suffered significant trauma to the head and neck, which was found to be consistent with blunt force injuries.

The investigation was conducted by the Atlantic City Police Department and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit.

Prosecutors have filed a motion to keep Reyes detained pending trial. A detention hearing is expected to take place this week.

Authorities say the investigation remains active and ongoing.
