CAR TEETERS ON EDGE AFTER CRASHING THROUGH FENCE IN HAWTHORNE

Firefighters in Hawthorne responded to a dramatic car crash Monday night after a sedan plowed through a fence and became precariously stuck on a retaining wall.

The incident occurred just before 9:30 p.m. at a home on Westervelt Avenue.

Photos shared by the Hawthorne Fire Department capture the tense scene, showing the car teetering on the edge—its back wheels clinging to the remnants of the wall while the front end rested against an embankment.

Fortunately, all occupants were out of the vehicle by the time first responders arrived, and no injuries were reported. Firefighters stabilized the car and remained on the scene until a tow truck arrived to pull it back to level ground.

Officials did not say what may have caused the crash.
