NHL star Johnny Gaudreau and his brother, Matthew, were tragically killed while riding bikes on a rural road in New Jersey. The incident occurred on Thursday night when a Jeep Cherokee, driven by Sean Higgins, struck the brothers. Higgins, 43, admitted to consuming 5-6 beers before the crash and has been charged with two counts of vehicular homicide. The brothers were cycling on County Route 551 when the collision happened. The tragedy occurred just hours before their sister, Katie Gaudreau, was set to be married. Johnny Gaudreau, known as "Johnny Hockey," played 11 NHL seasons, most recently with the Columbus Blue Jackets. Matthew Gaudreau also had a hockey career, playing alongside his brother at Boston College and in various professional leagues.
