🚨 Drone Helps Police Find Missing Child In Ocean Township Woods
A missing child was safely located in Ocean Township last week — and police say a drone made all the difference.
According to the Ocean Township Police Department, officers deployed a department drone during the search, ultimately spotting the child in a densely wooded area along Oyster Creek.
Temperatures were freezing at the time, raising serious concerns about the child’s safety.
Police say the department currently has three FAA-licensed drone pilots trained to operate the technology — and in this case, it may have prevented a life-threatening outcome.
“Given the frigid conditions and heavy wooded terrain, the integration of technology played a critical role,” officials said in a statement.
No further details about the child have been released.
