EAST ORANGE FUGITIVE ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH NEW YEAR'S DAY SHOOTING IN PATERSON

Eudys Santios-Toribio, 23, of East Orange, New Jersey, was arrested in connection to a shooting incident in Paterson on January 1. The shooting resulted in a 25-year-old woman sustaining a non-fatal gunshot wound. The arrest followed a coordinated investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Paterson Police Department, the New Jersey State Police Fugitive Unit, and the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force.

Santios-Toribio faces charges including aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possessing a weapon for an unlawful purpose. The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office plans to file a motion for pretrial detention. The investigation is ongoing.

The investigation remains active and ongoing as authorities continue to piece together the events leading up to the shooting.
