EASTAMPTON MAN ACCUSED OF AMASSING OVER 340,000 CHILD PORN FILES IN ONE OF BURLINGTON COUNTY’S LARGEST CASES
A 69-year-old Burlington County man is behind bars after authorities uncovered what they describe as an enormous digital cache of child sexual abuse material—more than 340,000 images and videos stored across multiple hard drives.
Lawrence Bayern was arrested on April 29 at his home in Eastampton following a search warrant executed by the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office High-Tech Crimes Unit. Investigators seized numerous electronic devices, including hard drives and a cellphone, which were sent for forensic analysis.
What they found was staggering: over 100,000 files containing child pornography were confirmed, prompting prosecutors to upgrade Bayern’s charge to a first-degree offense. Additional unreviewed content remains under analysis.
Bayern has remained in custody at the Burlington County Jail since his arrest, according to court records.
