FIRST WIRELESS CHARGING ROAD IN THE U.S. AND NO, IT'S NOT IN JERSEY
Detroit has introduced the first electrified road in the U.S. that can charge electric vehicles (EVs) while they are being driven!
This innovative technology uses copper inductive charging coils installed beneath the street, enabling EVs equipped with receivers to charge while driving, idling, or parked above these coils.
The pilot project is part of a larger initiative to advance electric vehicle technology and infrastructure.
Meanwhile, New Jersey wants to push for all new vehicles sold by 2035 to be electric, but the state infrastructure to support this is Lightyears behind.
Should New Jersey add one of these charging lanes on each side of the turnpike and the same for the GSP? Let us know below 👇🏾
