HEROIC RESCUE: PISCATAWAY COPS PULL IMPAIRED DRIVER FROM CAR SECONDS BEFORE TRAIN COLLISION

Two New Jersey police officers are being hailed as heroes after pulling an impaired driver from a car stalled on active train tracks—just moments before it was struck by an oncoming train.

Piscataway Township officers Devin Hinchcliffe and John Ward responded shortly after midnight last Monday to find the vehicle stopped directly on the tracks. According to police, the driver, a man described as impaired and unable to move, was trapped inside.

Dashcam footage shows the officers racing against time as the crossing gates lowered and a train barreled toward them. With only seconds to spare, Hinchcliffe and Ward dragged the man to safety before the train slammed into the vehicle.
