JACK CIATTARELLI SAYS HE’LL SUE MIKIE SHERRILL OVER ‘BASELESS’ DEBATE REMARKS

Things got real at New Jersey’s final governor debate this week.
Republican Jack Ciattarelli says he’s suing Democrat Mikie Sherrill after she accused him of fueling the opioid crisis for profit.

“You killed tens of thousands of people by printing misinformation and building an app that helped people get opioids,” Sherrill said on stage.

Ciattarelli shot back, calling it a “lie” and “beyond the line.” His campaign says Sherrill’s remarks were reckless and defamatory.

Fact-checkers at PolitiFact found no evidence Ciattarelli “killed” anyone.

Sherrill’s team isn’t backing down, saying Ciattarelli is dodging accountability for his old company and the app linked to it.
