
LINDENWOLD MAN SENTENCED TO 90 YEARS FOR MURDER IN MOUNT LAUREL HOTEL ROBBERY
A 33-year-old man, Jawaad Ali, from Lindenwold, was sentenced to 90 years in state prison for the 2020 murder of Samer Alhalayqa, a Camden man.
The crime took place in a Mount Laurel hotel, where Ali and two accomplices lured Alhalayqa, suffocated him, and then used his debit card to withdraw money and make purchases.
Ali, who represented himself, was found guilty of multiple charges, including murder, robbery, and kidnapping. His co-defendants, Asia Boone and Anthony Sermond-Guyton, pleaded guilty and are awaiting sentencing.
The investigation was led by the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and Mount Laurel Police.
