NJ Transit Bus Driver Arrested After Violent Assault
A New Jersey Transit bus driver, Mr. Toron Walker, was arrested on Friday, August 16, following a violent altercation with a passenger in Newark. The incident began after the passenger allegedly spat on Walker, leading to a physical confrontation that was captured on video by shocked commuters.
The footage shows Walker repeatedly punching, choking, and slamming the passenger, who was ultimately thrown to the floor of the bus. The altercation occurred around 1 p.m. on Court Street near Broad Street.
Despite the severity of the attack, the victim did not suffer life-threatening injuries. Walker was charged with aggravated assault and taken into custody by responding officers, RLS Media Reported.
The incident is under investigation by local authorities.
