On February 28, 74-year-old Roger B. Tees from Somers Point pleaded guilty to Endangering the Welfare of Children (Distribution of Explicit Images of Minors) in Atlantic County.
He faces a recommended four-year state prison term, followed by Parole Supervision for Life and registration as a Megan’s Law offender upon release. The investigation began when Tees saved Explicit Images of Minors (CSAM) to his Yahoo cloud account, triggering a report to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).
Law enforcement found Tees sharing CSAM on Telegram and saving it to his Yahoo account. A search of his residence uncovered incriminating videos and photos on his digital devices.
No evidence was found of misconduct in his role as the Director of Emergency Management for Somers Point or in any public servant capacity. Sentencing is tentatively set for May 9, 2024.
