Police are investigating a violent incident at Showboat Resort that left a man stabbed and a woman assaulted Sunday night.
Officers responded around 10:37 p.m. after reports of a stabbing inside the Boardwalk hotel and waterpark. At the scene, a 38-year-old woman from Maryland was found assaulted. A 38-year-old man from Newark was also stabbed and later taken to the hospital by friends. His injuries were reported as non-life-threatening.
The resort called it an “isolated incident,” but video circulating online shows chaos inside the property during the incident. Police confirmed they are reviewing that footage as part of the investigation.
A third person was reportedly involved, though details remain unclear. No arrests have been announced as of now.
By Monday, the resort appeared to be operating as usual, with guests continuing to check in.
