Two Young Boys Found Dead In Hillsborough Home; Mother Arrested After 911 Call
A routine evening shattered in an instant when a father returned home to find his two young sons unresponsive — and dialed 911.
Authorities say the call came in around 6:45 p.m. Tuesday after the children’s father arrived at their home in Hillsborough Township and discovered his sons unconscious. During the call, he told dispatchers his wife had harmed the children.
Police found both parents inside the residence and the boys, ages 5 and 7, in a bedroom. Despite lifesaving efforts, both children were pronounced dead at the scene. Their names have not been released.
Investigators determined the children were killed earlier in the day. Their mother, Priyatharsini Natarajan, 35, was arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose. She is being held at Somerset County Jail pending a detention hearing.
Autopsies will be conducted to confirm identities and determine the cause and manner of death. The investigation remains ongoing, and officials say no additional details are available at this time.
