AARON RODGERS READY TO GET BACK TO WORK
Aaron Rodgers, returning from a torn Achilles, confirmed he was in Egypt during the mandatory Jets minicamp in June, which he missed after attending all voluntary OTAs.
Rodgers, who will rejoin the team on July 23, felt good during spring training and enjoyed his trip to Egypt. The Jets were aware of his plans but marked his absence as "unexcused" to avoid setting a bad precedent.
Rodgers, 40, played only four snaps last season but is optimistic about his recovery and looking forward to the upcoming season. If he stays healthy, he will be one of the few quarterbacks to play at age 41.
