Hudson Regional Health President and CEO Dr. Nizar Kifaieh has been named to Becker's Healthcare's 2026 list of Community Hospital CEOs to Know, according to an announcement from the health system.
Becker's said the recognized executives developed and carried out strategies aimed at improving quality, expanding services and strengthening care delivery at their hospitals.
In Kifaieh's case, the publication highlighted his leadership of a multimillion-dollar capital improvement program, the launch of a patient liaison team supporting pediatric, geriatric and emergency room visitors, and his oversight when Hudson Regional Hospital became Hudson County's official COVID-19 testing site at the start of the pandemic.
The publication described the executives on its list as “community stewards, strategic visionaries and patient advocates.”
Kifaieh, a board-certified emergency medicine physician, has been with Hudson Regional Health since 2018. The health system said his work has focused on quality, access, patient experience, clinical integration and innovation.
Before joining Hudson Regional Health, Kifaieh held senior roles at CarePoint Health System and Christ Hospital. He earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate, trained in emergency medicine at SUNY Downstate and Kings County Hospital, and holds an MBA from the University of Massachusetts.
