North Bergen Community Comes Together to Celebrate Young Athletes

North Bergen families, coaches and young athletes came together Tuesday evening at the Uptown Recreation Center to celebrate another season of youth sports in the township.
The awards ceremony recognized participants in North Bergen’s in-house recreation basketball and wrestling programs, bringing together athletes ranging in age from 7 to 13.
The evening gave players a chance to be recognized for the time and effort they put in throughout the season, while families and coaches gathered to celebrate their accomplishments.
Youth recreation programs remain an important part of the North Bergen community, giving local kids an opportunity to compete, stay active and build friendships with other young people from around town.
Tuesday’s ceremony focused on the township’s in-house recreation leagues. North Bergen’s Travel Team Basketball awards are scheduled to be held separately in November.
Congratulations to all of North Bergen’s young athletes, along with the coaches, parents and volunteers who helped make the season possible.
