AFTER DAYS OF PROTESTS AND GROWING TENSIONS OUTSIDE DELANEY HALL, NEW JERSEY STATE POLICE WASTED NO TIME ENFORCING THE CURFEW IN NEWARK. ONE INDIVIDUAL WHO REMAINED IN THE RESTRICTED AREA WAS TAKEN INTO CUSTODY WITHIN SECONDS AS TROOPERS MOVED TO CLEAR THE SCENE. GOVERNOR MIKIE SHERRILL PREVIOUSLY STATED THAT FIVE OF SIX PEOPLE ARRESTED DURING EARLIER CLASHES WERE FROM OUTSIDE NEW JERSEY, WHILE URGING PROTESTERS TO REMAIN PEACEFUL. AUTHORITIES HAVE INCREASED ENFORCEMENT AROUND THE FACILITY AS DEMONSTRATIONS CONTINUE.
