The New Jersey Devils couldn’t get anything going offensively Sunday night, falling 3-0 to the Detroit Red Wings.
Moritz Seider led Detroit with a goal and two assists, while goalie John Gibson stopped all 21 shots he faced to record the shutout.
Devils goaltender Jacob Markström made 27 saves on 30 shots, but New Jersey’s offense never broke through despite chances from Jack Hughes and Luke Hughes.
The loss drops the Devils to 32-30-2, while Detroit improves to 36-21-7.
