DYLAN HARPER DRAFTED NO. 2 BY SPURS IN 2025 NBA DRAFT

Rutgers star Dylan Harper is officially an NBA player.

The 6’5” guard was selected No. 2 overall by the San Antonio Spurs in the 2025 NBA Draft Thursday night, making him the highest pick in Rutgers history.

Harper, 19, averaged 18.7 points, 5.4 assists, and 4.9 rebounds in his freshman season, earning Big Ten Freshman of the Year honors. Known for his playmaking and poise, he’s expected to pair with Victor Wembanyama to form the Spurs’ next great duo.

“This is a dream come true,” Harper said after being drafted. “I’m ready to get to work.”

The son of five-time NBA champion Ron Harper, Dylan now carves his own path — starting in San Antonio.
