The Philadelphia Flyers signed All-Star Travis Konecny to an eight-year, $70 million extension, making him a key part of their core through 2033.
The contract, starting in the 2025-26 NHL season, will make Konecny the highest-paid player on the team at $8.75 million per year. Konecny, who had career highs last season with 33 goals and 68 points, expressed his desire to remain with the Flyers.
General Manager Daniel Briere emphasized Konecny's leadership and commitment to the team's future. The Flyers also recently signed top prospect Matvei Michkov, enhancing their long-term prospects.
