🚨 He Killed the Wrong Man… Now He’s Doing 40 Years

NEWARK, NJ — A revenge shooting turned deadly for someone who wasn’t even the target.
An Irvington man was just sentenced to 40 years in prison after killing a 35-year-old East Orange resident in a mistaken identity shooting.
Prosecutors say the crew pulled up on North Munn Street in a stolen car, looking to settle an old score from years back.
They thought they had the right person.
They didn’t.
After a quick exchange, the car drove off — then came back.
That’s when the shooter got out and opened fire, hitting the victim once in the chest and killing him.
The man he killed, Prince Sweeney, had nothing to do with what they were looking for.
Now the shooter, 23-year-old David Parker, will spend decades behind bars — and under New Jersey law, he’ll have to serve most of that time before even getting a shot at parole.
Wrong person.
Old beef.
One decision that changed everything.
