More than 50 Hudson Regional Health team members took part in National Night Out events across nine Hudson County municipalities this week, offering free blood pressure screenings and health information alongside local public safety agencies, according to the health system.
Teams joined events in Hoboken, Bayonne, Secaucus, Kearny, Harrison, Union City, North Bergen, West New York and Guttenberg.
The outreach gave residents a chance to ask health and wellness questions, learn about preventive care and available resources, and receive blood pressure checks. Hudson Regional Health said face painting was also offered for children in select cities.
Staff from Hoboken University Hospital, Bayonne University Hospital, Secaucus University Hospital and the HRH Medical Group participated across the nine municipalities.
“As the leading healthcare provider in Hudson County, we are proud to partner with local law enforcement through community-building events like National Night Out to promote healthier, safer communities,” HRH President and CEO Dr. Nizar Kifaieh said.
Kifaieh said the health system plans to continue working with local public safety teams on community health and well-being efforts.
